Pinecrest Presbyterian
Day School
Pinecrest Presbyterian Day School is an active participant of the Quality Counts program. Quality Counts is a Miami-Dade County voluntary quality-rating-improvement system that reviews early learning programs according to clearly defined, high quality standards using a five star method of evaluation and offers support and incentives to help providers reach their goals. QC provides support to us as we work to meet our goal of improving quality in the areas that affect young learners most: the learning environment, ratio of staff to child, professional development of teachers, parent involvement, and program administration.
Pinecrest Presbyterian Day School is a member of the Florida Association for Child Care Management (FACCM) and is currently in the process of being accredited through APPLE (Accredited Professional Preschool Learning Environment). Accreditation provides public notification that an institution or program meets standards of quality set forth by an accrediting agency. In Florida, APPLE is accepted into the Gold Seal of Quality program. All components of a program are examined during accreditation including: administration, classroom environment, parent and community involvement, advocacy on behalf of children and child care, staffing credentials, staff to child ratios, teacher/child interaction, literacy and curriculum.
Pinecrest Presbyterian Day School is pleased to announce they are a four-star program.
