Pinecrest Presbyterian Day School provides Day School and After-School Care Programs to help each child develop to his or her maximum potential in all respects: physically, socially, emotionally, intellectually and spiritually.

Our long-range goals include building a strong and positive self-image while helping to develop a life long love of learning. Specific goals and objectives in every area of development include but are not limited to:

Cognitive Development:

• To increase language and verbal skills
• To develop logical thinking skills
• To expand problem solving skills
• To develop pre-reading skills
• To acquire beginning writing skills

Social/Emotional Development:

• To demonstrate cooperative behavior
• To enhance positive self-image
• To develop a love of learning
• To demonstrate the ability to make choices

Physical Development:

• To utilize all five senses in learning
• To improve independence in self care activities
• To further develop gross motor skills
• To improve fine motor skills

Pinecrest Presbyterian Day School was organized in the fall of 1962 when the Sunday School building was completed. The school is currently operating at licensed capacity of 150 students. We currently serve children 2 ½ years of age and toilet trained through 5 years of age in a half-day preschool program and 5-6 year olds in a full day Kindergarten program.
